  September 4 - General Membership Meeting.

Our monthly general membership meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month at the Iron Works Resteraunt located on the Bellaire Golf Course north of Bell Road on 45th Avenue. Come for dinner at 6:00 PM. The meeting starts at 7:00.

 
     
* September 7 - LOH Ride.

LOH Ride to Canyon Lake. Meet at the Chevron Station at 51st Avenue & Loop 101 (20125 N. 51st. Avenue) at 7:00 AM, leave at 7:30 AM.

 
     
* September 13-14 - Coronado Trail Ride.

This will be the third year we have taken this beautiful ride. Talk to someone who has made the ride in the past and plan to join us. We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 6:00 AM and leave at 6:30 AM. Gas coffee and restrooms are available.   September 17 - LOH Meeting

Meet at the Dealership at 7:00 PM.  The meeting will be in the conference room behind the HOG Room.  All lady members as well as any other chapter members are welcome.

 
     
* September 21 - Tortilla Flat.

A great little ride to Tortilla Flats, north of Apache Junction on the Apache Trail. Come join us for breakfast. We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 7:00 AM and leave at 7:30 AM. Gas coffee and restrooms are available. Please park on the street on the south side of the station.

 
     
* September 27 - Dessert Ride.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. This is our annual ice cream social. We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 4:00 PM and leave at 4:30 PM. Gas coffee and restrooms are available. Please park on the street on the south side of the station.

* October 5 - Meteor Crater.

See where a meteor weighing several hundred thousand tons hit the earth about 50,000 years ago. This is where the astronauts trained to walk on the moon back during the 1960's. The crater is about 35 miles east of Flagstaff. We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 7:00 AM and leave at 7:30 AM. Gas coffee and restrooms are available. * October 11-14 - Moab Utah.

The last couple of years we have ridden to Kanab, Utah and visited Zion and Brice Canyons. This year we are going to Moab where you can visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Click here for more information about the Moab area. > http://www.moab-utah.com/

We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 6:00 AM and leave at 6:30 AM. Gas coffee and restrooms are available. Please park on the street on the south side of the station. This ride is approximately 450 miles one-way.

There is some outstanding Motorcycle Touring in the Moab area - Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, and much more (www.discovermoab.com/motorcycles.htm). There are a few hotels which are reasonably priced at the North end of Moab – Inca Inn @ $59.95/night – (866)462-2466, Adventure Inn @ $69/night – (866)662-2466, and Bowen Motel @ $79/night – (800)874-5439. All rates are subject to change. Check out www.discovermoab.com for additional hotels in case these are sold out. We have not visited these hotels so we cannot vouch for them. This is the high season for Moab so it is highly recommended that you MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW! Some of the hotels contacted have only 5-10 rooms remaining as of 6/21/08. Most hotels have 24-48 hour cancellation policies with no penalty.

You will notice that the calendar says this ride goes through Tuesday. This is only for people who want to spend another day/night and come back on Tuesday. Monday  Oct 13 is Columbus Day and is a holiday for some. Officially, the ride is over on Monday.

 
     
* October 18 - Trash Trek II.

This is our second trash trek of the year. We have adopted two miles of highway out past Yarnell where we ride to pick up trash twice a year. Come join in and help keep Arizona's highways clean. We will meet at the Starbuck's at Reems Road and Grand Avenue in Surprise at 8:00AM and leave at 8:30.

 
     
* October 25 - Tombstone.

Lets go to historic Tombstone, Arizona. "The town too tough to die." We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 7:00 AM and leave at 7:30 AM. * November 2 - Hayden Loop.

Let's take a scenic ride just for the fun of it. We will ride the Hayden Loop and end up at Apache Gold. We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 7:30 AM and leave at 8:00 AM. Gas coffee and restrooms are available. Please park on the street on the south side of the station. We will pass through towns with names like Queen Valley, Kelvin, Kearny, Winkleman and Christmas.

 
     
  November 6 - General Membership Meeting.

  November 9 - Road Captains' Meeting.

Road Captains only.  10:00 in the conference room at the dealership.

 
     
* November 15 - Moo & Cluck.

This is our annual steak and chicken (moo & cluck) picnic. We will meet at the Chevron Station on 51st Avenue south of Loop 101 at 1:30 PM and leave at 2:00 PM. Gas coffee and restrooms are available. Please park on the street on the south side of the station. The location will be South Mountain Park again this year.

 
     
* November 16 - New Member Orientation.

Although this is a new member orientation ride that doesn't mean that regular riders are not welcome. Please come and help us welcome the new members and new riders to our chapter. We will meet at the dealership at 9:30 in the morning and go through all the safety rules and explain the important points of group riding. We will leave as soon as everyone is ready. The destination is not decided yet so check back as I will post more information when I get it.

 
     
  November 19 - LOH Meeting

Meet at the Dealership at 7:00 PM.  The meeting will be in the conference room behind the HOG Room.  All lady members as well as any other chapter members are welcome.

 
     
* November 22 - Parker & Oatman.

We will meet at the Starbuck's at Reems Road and Grand Avenue in Surprise at 7:00AM and leave at 7:30.

 
     
* November 30 - Breakfast at Anita's.

Let's go to Wickenburg and have breakfast at Anita's Restaurant. We will meet at the Starbucks at Reems Road and Grand Avenue in Surprise at 8:30AM and leave at 9:00. Anita's does not open for breakfast except for us, so come and show your appreciation. It's good food too.

 
     
  December 4 - General Membership Meeting.

* December 13 - Tubac.

We don't usually have many rides in December, so we decided this might be a good time to go for a little fun. Tubac was extablished in 1752 and has become an art community in southern Arizona. Click here for more information about Tubac. > http://www.desertusa.com/mag01/jan/stories/tubac.html
